Volume Photography VS. Custom photography. What’s the difference?

Volume picture days are for large groups like recreational leagues and school photos. These incorporate traditional, classic poses and move very quickly. Typically, you get 1-3 poses. These photos can be traditional backgrounds or composites.

Volume photography is usually efficient and affordable. There’s a price range for everyone. You come to picture day dressed and ready to go and you are done in just a few minutes. However, it does not leave room for much flexibility or creativity due to time constraints and kids that need time to “warm up” to the idea may not take good photos.

A custom photography experience caters to a specific person or group, such as travel teams or individuals. These sessions incorporate specialty poses that are not part of the volume picture day experience. They are flexible, unique, and creative, and require more time and effort to set up and execute. This custom experience will result in more memorable photographs with more background options and more poses. These photos can be traditional backgrounds or composites. Many high school seniors choose to add a sports mini session to their senior sessions to showcase the sports they love.
